A blog to help me remember significant things I don't want to forget. That is when I remember to add them.

Outfit Choices
This was Reagan's outfit choice for the day, Payton helped her pick it out, she was quite proud of it. It sort of matched!
Reflections
I helped Payton enter artwork in the PTA Reflections contest, the theme was "Diversity, celebrating differences through the arts" I explained to her what diversity meant and she decided to make a picture of leaves because they are all different shapes, different colors when they change in the fall and they are all pretty. Here is her artwork.
We picked up leaves from outside and I helped her trace them onto different fabric but she cut them all out and glued them herself. Only 7 students in the entire school did it, she was a little shy because she didn't know she would be the only one in her class, she was actually the only one in Kindergarten. They had cake cookies and lemonade and Reagan was very excited about that!
Holding her art outside of the library, they hung it up in the front hallway of the school today and she saw it and was excited :)

The Breakfast Artist
Reagan is so funny, she likes to imagine and always makes an item into something else. She thinks her pull ups right out of the bag look like caterpillars because they are wrinkled up from being shrink wrapped, she thinks when she goes stinky in the potty that it looks like a dinosaur! and...she put her cinnamon raisin bread she was supposed to eat for breakfast inside of a banana tent!

I Heart Faces Back to School
My oldest daughter started Kindergarten this year. After Hurricane Irene came through, we then had a week of rain courtesy of Tropical Storm Lee, so the first day of school was very wet. She was so very excited to get on the bus. I love this picture because the look on her face shows her emotion for the entire day. She absolutely could not believe that she was next to get on the bus. Her little sister wanted to get on as well, but had to settle for holding the umbrella, in the torrential downpour!

First Day of Kindergarten!
My favorite picture of the day, the look on her face says it all! |
She packed her own lunch, baby corn, mandarin oranges or maryland oranges as she calls them, peanut butter and jelly and pudding with an apple for snack, she ate it all.
Her backpack was super wet when she came home either from her water bottle or from sitting it on the ground in the rain, not sure but I think probably the water bottle, so her folders that are supposed to go back and forth to school are no more. They didn't even survive the first day! I had to e-mail the teacher and tell her what happened and dry out all the papers I needed to sign to send back.
Getting off the bus this afternoon, just as excited as when she got on in the morning! |
